When you expect things, strangely enought - they do happen
J.P. Morgan
Be careful what you think, watch the thoughts you allow to enter into your head.

Failure
Like you, I'm still a work in progress. And the next step beyond failure could be your biggest success.
Debbie Allen, Singer, Dancer, & TV Producer
People are so afraid to fail that they never try ANYTHING. Baseball players strike out more than they hit a home run, yet no one expects them to quit. A baby falls over and over again before mastering the art of walking and it would be ludicrous to suggest they give up...so why do we?
There is no crime in failing only in giving up!

3 Simple Sentences
Three Sentences For Getting Success
a. Know more than others
b. Work more than others
c. Expect less from others
William Shakespeare
3 Simple sentences, seems easy enough, so why isn't everyone successful?
Sometimes I laugh while watching CNN or any other news show and see "experts". The reason I laugh is because a significant event can happen and someone comes on tv and they put 'expert' beside their name, and I think how are they an expert when it is the first time it happened! How did experts become experts? Well some really do know just about everything on a topic, but many just know more than the average person. They do their homework. They read all they can on their chosen topic and poof they are an 'expert'.
If you want to be successful at anything, than become an expert in your chosen field, read, listen, learn, find a role model or mentor.
Work more than others. Who wants to do that? Aren't we all trying to figure out how to make more money and work less. Isn't that what get rich quick ideas are all about? People tired of working for someone dram of having their own company so they can choose their hours and work less...ha! Having your own business rarely mean that at least in the first 5 to 10 years. Your goal should not be to work less, but to work smarter. If success to you is moving up in your company, than work smarter, show initiative, take on challenges. Besides winning the lottery there are no lazy roads to success.
Expect less from others. Funny we can always spot the faults in others. Many expect others owe them. Some feel entitled, and become bitter and depressed when the world doesn't buy into that. A salesperson tries to make a sale, gets turned down, and they convince themselves that it is the external factors why they can never make a sale. Expect less from others and more from yourself. Nobody including friends and family are obligated to do what you want, to buy from you, hold your hand, agree with you. it would be nice though! Networking works the same way, the worst networkers are those who expect to get something rather than give!

Passion!
Master Your Passions, Then You Have Found the Fountain of Life
People are always talking about "finding your passion". But once you find your passion what will you do with it? Master it! Nurture it! Explore It! Channel it into your way of being, make it a lifestyle, a way of making a living!
Forget searching for the Fountain of Youth, search for the Fountain of Life. If you find that you will never get old, only well seasoned!

Today!
I woke up early today, excited over all I get to do before the clock strikes midnight. I have responsibilities to fulfill today. I am important.
My job is to choose what kind of day I am going to have.
Today I can complain because the weather is rainy or I can be thankful that the grass is getting watered for free.
Today I can feel sad that I don't have more money or I can be glad that my finances encourage me to plan my purchases wisely and guide me away from waste.
Today I can grumble about my health or I can rejoice that I am alive.
Today I can lament over all that my parents didn't give me when I was growing up or I can feel grateful that they allowed me to be born.
Today I can cry because roses have thorns or I can celebrate that thorns have roses.
Today I can mourn my lack of friends or I can excitedly embark upon a quest to discover new relationships.
Today i can whine because I have to go to work or I can shout for joy because I have a job to do.
Today I can complain because I have to go to school or eagerly open my mind and fill it with rich new tidbits of knowledge.
Today I can murmur dejectedly because I have to do housework or I can feel honoured because the Lord has provided me shelter for my mind, body, and soul.
Today stretches ahead of me, waiting to be shaped. And here I am, there sculptor who gets to do the shaping.
What today will be like is up to me. I get to choose what kind of day I will have!

Responsibility
Take the whole responsibility on your own shoulders
Know that you are the creator of your own destiny.
All the strength and success you want is within yourselves
Stand up. Be Bold. Be Strong.
Make Your Own Future!
Many times, we want to lay blame about why our life is the way it is. It is our upbringing's fault, our spouse's fault, the 'man's' fault, everything under the sun, but we find it hard to look at ourselves more closely.
We ARE the creators of our destiny. Are there going to be obstacles...hell yeah, is becoming successful in our chosen endeavours going to be easy...hell no. But does that mean that we should lay down and cry about it or does it mean we should keep moving forward. There are things from our past that affect our future, no doubt, and many times, they creep up in our unconscious and cause us to doubt ourselves, BUT we must learn to listen to the messages playing in our head and stop any negativity that starts to enter.
You can create the life you want for yourself, but you have to be willing to sacrifice and you have to take RESPONSIBILITY, no one else will for you!

Reach!!
The greatest danger for most of us
Is not that our aim is too high
And we miss it.
But that it is too low and we reach it.
Michelangelo
This reminds me of the saying Reach for the Stars and if You Only Get as Far as the Moon, you still way better off than if you sat still on the Earth.
Really rrrreeeaach!! Don't be afraid. Aim high! Sttttreeetchhhh! Stretch your mind, stretch your thoughts, stretch your dreams, stretch and reach out to positive people, stretch and reach out to mentors, stretch and reach out farther than the eye can see, farther than anyone ever imagined.
A pot of gold is at the end of the rainbow, but has anyone been able to find the end of the rainbow (mother nature's rainbow, not one you made with a prism in science class); no, but we keep searching and everyday get a little closer, and you are sure to find treasures along the way!
